Growing up I always wanted to be a writer. I loved the way words could flow together so effortlessly, and create this beautiful, melodic thrill. It was the power the words held, and how they can transform someone’s life entirely.
But sometimes there just aren’t words for a feeling - and I am so much more inspired to create from that.
I’ve found myself to be an author in a different way. Instead of writing the stories and missing those indescribable moments - I get the chance to tell it and capture it through the eye of my lens.

Meet Jillian
Hey y’all! I’m a portrait + lifestyle photographer based in the Midwest.
I’ve had some sort of camera in hand for as long as I can remember, but it got serious about 3 years ago when I purchased my first DSLR!
I graduated from Iowa State in 2020 with an Advertising and Digital Design degree - but I knew about 3 years in that all I wanted to do was capture people’s stories for the rest of my life. I worked as a photojournalist for the Iowa State Daily, as well as a Photographer and Advertising Director for Trend Magazine.
Leading up to graduation I knew that the 9-5 job was not for me, and I decided to make my college side job, a full time gig. I am excited to work with all of you!
All I’ve ever wanted to do in my life is create - but I never thought I would be where I am today. I truly am doing what I love and loving what I’m doing.

Arizona is my favorite place on earth. I have a lot of family there , so I’ve been traveling there since I was little. Definitely, my second home.
^ thinking this is why Traveling is my favorite thing to do. Have an elopement or destination wedding somewhere fun - and take me with you, please!
MUSIC IS A MUST, at all times. Anything from indie, 70’s rock, R&B, contemporary, and the babe Mac Miller.
